Cassidy's POV

The car suddenly jolted once, before rolling to a complete stop in the middle of nowhere.

I leaned forward just as the driver slumped over the steering wheel, limp, like something had drained the life out of him.

I didn't waste a second. I lunged over the front seat, tried the passenger side and it gave way with a click.

Cold air rushed past my face as I stumbled out of the car.
