The car ride seemed stretched out. We were drowning in silence. Uncomfortable kind.
I had a million things I wanted to say. But I didn't know how and where to start without throwing a fit. So I stayed quiet.
Gavin didn’t say anything either, but I could feel his imposing presence. Sharp. Unsettling. Angry.
He was gripping the steering wheel too tightly, his knuckles pale against the leather.
