Amity’s POV

I woke up at the absolute crack of dawn, my eyes snapping open in the dim, grey light filtering through the cracks of my door. It was the morning of my eighteenth birthday, the day I had simultaneously anticipated and dreaded for my entire life. But the moment consciousness returned to my exhausted brain, my freshly awakened senses were immediately and violently overwhelmed.

I gasped, my hands instinctively flying to my throat as a wave of sheer, unadulterated olfactory overload hit me. The tiny, cramped space of my converted storage room was entirely saturated by the sudden, deeply intoxicating scents of the triplets. The air was so thick with their pheromones that I could practically taste it on the back of my tongue. It wasn't just a faint lingering smell; it was an aggressive, physical presence pressing down on me.

Coconut. Coffee. Chocolate chips.

Kellan’s scent was the coconut—rich, milky, tropical, but underpinned with a dark, raw Alpha musk that made my spine tingle. Zander’s was the coffee—a dark, bitter, intensely roasted espresso that jolted my nervous system and made my blood run hot. And Corbin’s was the chocolate chips—warm, melting, buttery, and deceptively sweet. The three scents twined together into a singular, inescapable rope of pure temptation that dragged the air straight out of my lungs.

The biological reaction was instantaneous, violent, and utterly humiliating. Despite the freezing temperature of the pack house basement, a sudden, heavy throbbing pooled directly between my thighs. My clitoris began to pulse with a demanding, rhythmic ache, swelling heavily against the cheap cotton of my underwear as a sudden slickness of wetness flooded out of me. My nipples hardened painfully beneath my thin sleep shirt, my breasts aching with a bizarre, instinctual heaviness. My inner wolf, newly awakened and ravenous, was clawing at the walls of my mind, howling for the three Alphas who had made my life a living hell. I was getting incredibly, helplessly aroused just from breathing the air in my own bedroom.

Panic, cold and sharp as a jagged piece of ice, violently gripped my chest. I scrambled backward on my lumpy mattress, pulling my knees to my chest as a full-blown anxiety attack took hold. My heart pounded so hard against my ribs I genuinely feared they might crack.

I was terrified. I was absolutely, paralyzingly terrified. When the triplets inevitably realized that the pathetic, bullied pack servant was their fated mate, they would outright reject me. The thought of their disgust, their cruel laughter, and the inevitable, agonizing severing of the mate bond made me physically nauseous. They would toss me aside, leaving me as a broken, packless omega to freeze in the wilderness.

Or, perhaps even worse, their Alpha wolves wouldn't let them reject me. The mate bond would force me to be permanently bound to horrible, abusive mates. I would be trapped for the rest of my natural life with three monstrous boys who had subjected me to years of relentless, cruel bullying, shoved me in hallways, mocked my clothes, and tormented me daily. I would be subjected to their every whim, forced to spread my legs for the very monsters who had shattered my self-esteem.

I couldn't breathe. The heavy atmosphere of the house was suffocating me. The coconut, the coffee, the chocolate chips—it was poison laced with sugar, and it was choking me.

I had to get out.

I practically fell out of my meager cot, not even bothering to change out of my ripped sleepwear. I threw my door open and bolted down the darkened hallway, taking the back stairs two at a time. I shoved open the heavy service door, the freezing winter air slapping my face like a physical blow.

Without breaking stride, I sprinted into the deep snow. For the first time in daylight, I forcefully shifted. The transformation was agonizing but liberating—my bones snapped and rearranged with brutal efficiency, my spine elongating, my muscles tearing and reforming as thick fur violently sprouted from my pores. Within seconds, my sandy-coloured wolf hit the ground on four paws.

I let out a desperate, breathless whimper and bolted into the tree line. I tore through the snowdrifts, my muscles burning, hoping the freezing, biting wind would somehow freeze the blinding panic in my spiraling head and rip their heavenly scents out of my nostrils.

Third Person

Inside the massive, sprawling pack house, pure chaos erupted the second the sun breached the horizon.

"This is stupid!" Corbin snarled, his voice a guttural, vibrating roar that rattled the framed pictures on the hallway walls. He was pacing the expansive floor of the upstairs landing like a violently caged beast. His massive chest heaved, his baby blue eyes flashing with an unstable, terrifying darkness. "I need my mate, right now. I want Amity!"

He stormed toward the grand staircase, his two brothers immediately falling in step right on his heels. All three of the newly turned Alpha triplets were severely sleep-deprived, their faces tight with exhaustion, dark circles bruising the skin under their eyes. But their inner wolves were wide awake, clawing furiously at the surface of their skin, feral and desperate to find the girl who smelled of wildflowers and sweet rain. The biological pull of the bond was practically tearing their sanity to shreds.

They stormed downstairs in a synchronized, frantic state, their massive boots thudding heavily against the hardwood. The house was supposed to be quiet, but the frantic party preparations were already underway. They rounded the corner into the massive, commercial-sized pack kitchen and immediately cornered Darla.

The frantic party planner jumped, nearly dropping her clipboard. She was wearing a ridiculously tight micro mini skirt and a tiny tube top that left her entire midriff exposed, shivering slightly in the morning draft. She was clutching three identical baby blue gift bags, her eyes widening as the three imposing, massive Alphas descended upon her like starving predators.

"Where is she?" Kellan demanded, his voice dropping into a terrifying, commanding Alpha register that made the plates rattle in the cupboards.

"Hey, sleepy heads! Good morning!" Darla cooed, completely misreading the lethal tension in the room. She jutted her hip out, trying to look alluring. "I have presents for the birthday boys!"

"Have you seen Amity, Darla?" Zander asked, his jaw clenching so hard a muscle feathered in his cheek. He stepped forward, looming over the terrified woman.

"Is she here?" Corbin demanded, his hands curling into massive fists at his sides.

"Who?" Darla asked blankly, forcefully shoving the gift bags toward their chests.

"Thanks, Darla," Kellan practically barked, snatching the bags and tossing them carelessly onto the marble island without a second glance. "Amity! Where the hell is she?"

Darla frowned, her heavily glossed lips turning down into a pout. She casually waved her manicured hand toward the back door. "Oh, she shifted early and went out for a run. Sprinted right out the door into the snow."

Kellan froze. The manic, terrifying energy in his broad shoulders suddenly morphed. He broke into a wide, feral grin, his canines subtly elongating. He was visibly thrilled by the news that her inner wolf had finally awakened, his mind instantly flooding with possessive, wild fantasies of chasing his beautiful mate through the snowdrifts, tackling her, and claiming her under the winter sun.

"Okay," Darla huffed, rolling her eyes in severe annoyance, completely oblivious to the danger she was in. She placed a hand on her hip, her tone dripping with haughty condescension. "Since when do you guys care about Pity?"

The atmosphere in the massive kitchen instantly turned deadly. The temperature seemed to drop twenty degrees in a fraction of a second.

All three brothers bared their teeth simultaneously. A synchronized, deafening snarl ripped from their chests, vibrating with sheer, unadulterated Alpha fury. The sound was so primal, so violently aggressive, that Darla stumbled backward, her clipboard clattering loudly to the linoleum floor as sheer terror washed the fake tan right off her face.

Corbin looked ready to rip her throat out. Kellan’s eyes bled into pitch black, his Alpha aura crushing down on the room, forcing the air from Darla’s lungs.

Zander stepped forward, bridging the gap. He stared down at the trembling, terrified woman, his eyes entirely devoid of humanity.

"It’s Amity," Zander corrected her, his voice dropping to a cold, lethal octave that promised absolute violence. "Do not ever disrespect our mate."

Amity’s POV

Hours later, I was completely and utterly exhausted. My legs felt like lead, my lungs burned from the freezing air, and every single muscle in my newly awakened canine body was screaming in protest. I had spent the entire morning desperately running through the furthest reaches of the pack lands, trying to outrun my own biology.

I cautiously snuck back toward the pack house, keeping low to the tree line. I shifted back into my human form behind the snow-covered hedges, shivering violently in the biting cold as I hastily pulled on the ripped, dirty clothes I had stashed by the back door. I crept inside, tiptoeing up the back staircase, praying to the Moon Goddess that I wouldn't run into anyone.

I silently pushed open the cracked door of my tiny room, stepping inside.

The moment I crossed the threshold, I was hit by a physical wall of their scents. It was so potent, so overwhelmingly concentrated, that my knees buckled slightly. I gasped, grabbing the doorframe for support.

Coconut. Coffee. Chocolate chips.

The scents were absolutely everywhere. I stumbled forward, my trembling hands reaching out. My meager, cheap bedsheets were completely saturated with the smell of Corbin's melting chocolate and sweet butter. I practically whimpered, my clitoris throbbing violently again as my inner wolf recognized the claim. I turned to my small dresser. My sparse, folded clothing reeked of Kellan’s dark, tropical musk. The very air near the doorway smelled heavily of Zander’s bitter, intoxicating espresso.

The realization hit me like a physical punch to the gut, sending a sharp, terrifying shiver cascading down my spine.

They had physically been inside my room.

The triplets had never, not once in nine years, set foot inside my pathetic storage closet. They had always treated it like a quarantine zone. But today, they had come in here. They had been looking for me. They had touched my bed, my clothes, my sanctuary. My heart raced, a fresh wave of panic mixing horrifyingly with a deep, pooling wetness of arousal between my thighs. They knew. They absolutely knew.

Later that afternoon, there was no time to hide. The pack house was buzzing with chaotic, frantic energy for the massive succession party that evening. I was cornered in the hallway by the cold, unyielding demands of Luna Vera. She didn't care that it was my birthday. She didn't care that I looked exhausted. She shoved a list of serving duties into my hands, her voice a sharp whip cracking against my fragile nerves, explicitly ordering me to work the floor during her sons' massive celebration.

I had no choice. I retreated to the staff bathroom to change. I braced myself, my trembling fingers reaching behind my back to zip up the tight, black sequin dress that Darla had forced upon me earlier. The party planner had practically thrown it at my face, haughtily declaring that the Luna demanded all the servers look 'presentable'. The dress was incredibly short, hugging my hips and riding high on my thighs, the sequins scratching against my skin. It made me feel exposed, vulnerable, like a piece of meat being presented on a silver platter.

My anxiety violently skyrocketed the exact moment I stepped out of the back corridor and into the crowded, deafeningly loud main hall. The bass of the DJ’s music thumped violently against my chest. Pack members were everywhere, drinking, laughing, entirely unaware of the absolute turmoil tearing me apart.

Before I could even grab my first tray of drinks, I was immediately cornered.

Three stunningly gorgeous girls stepped squarely into my path, blocking my escape. It was Audra, Sasha, and Tessa—the triplets' three incredibly bitter, fresh ex-girlfriends. They were all wearing tight, expensive dresses, their arms crossed, their perfectly manicured nails digging into their own skin.

"Hey, Pity," Sasha snapped, her flaming red hair tossed over her shoulder. Her green eyes were narrowed into venomous slits.

"Have you seen them today?" Audra blurted out. Her beautiful blonde hair was slightly messy, her eyes red, puffy, and undeniably angry.

"No," I lied quickly, my voice trembling slightly as I hugged my empty serving tray to my chest like a pathetic shield. "I haven't."

Sasha took a step closer, her voice tense and heavily accusatory. "Well, the guys broke up with us."

"All of us," Tessa added bitterly, tossing her sleek black hair. "First thing this morning. Just sent a text and told us to pack our shit and lose their numbers."

My heart began pounding so hard against my ribs I genuinely feared the sheer force of it might crack them. I gripped the edges of the tray until my knuckles turned stark white.

"They said they found their mate," Sasha hissed, glaring at me as if I somehow held the answers to the universe. "They dumped us because their fated mate finally woke up."

The room spun. The booming bass of the music faded into a dull, underwater roar in my ears. I felt completely lightheaded, my breath catching painfully in my throat. I stumbled backward a half-step, my spine hitting the cool plaster of the hallway wall.

They had dumped their gorgeous, popular girlfriends immediately. The longest they ever kept a girl was two months, but they hadn't even waited the afternoon. The very second they realized I was their mate, they had severed every other romantic tie. And they had done it all for me? The realization was terrifying. It meant they weren't going to reject me. It meant they wanted me. It meant I was trapped.

Before my spiraling mind could even begin to process this horrifying revelation, the heavy front doors of the pack house violently swung open.

A sudden, breathless hush fell over the immediate crowd. The freezing winter wind swept into the foyer, carrying with it a scent so powerful, so dominant, that every omega in the room subconsciously bared their necks.

The triplets had arrived.

They were late, having spent the entire afternoon frantically obsessing over buying extravagant, ridiculous gifts for me at the mall—a fact I would only learn much later. They entered the pack house looking impeccably, devastatingly handsome. They were exuding raw, terrifying Alpha power, dressed in matching, tailored black blazers that stretched tightly across their incredibly broad shoulders, paired with crisp baby blue dress shirts that made their identical eyes pop with terrifying intensity.

They moved in perfect, lethal synchronization. The crowd naturally parted for them, stepping back in sheer awe and submission.

Kellan stood slightly ahead of his brothers, projecting the sheer, overwhelming dominance of a true Alpha even among his Alpha brothers. He swept his dark, predatory gaze over the massive crowd, his jaw clenched tightly. He didn't look at the decorations, the guests, or the lavish food spreads. He was hunting.

"Before we do anything else," Kellan declared with absolute, earth-shattering finality, his voice cutting through the noise of the party like a sharpened blade, "we need to have a serious conversation with Amity."

My breath hitched. I shrank back against the wall, desperately trying to blend into the shadows. I was holding a heavy silver tray fully loaded with tall, crystal champagne flutes, my hands shaking so badly the glass rims clinked together in a frantic, pathetic rhythm.

But it was entirely useless. The moment their identical, piercing blue eyes locked onto me, the air in the room completely vaporized.

They moved with terrifying, unnatural speed. They didn't walk; they stalked. They devoured the distance between us in mere seconds.

Kellan reached me first. His massive frame completely eclipsed my vision. Without a single word, he effortlessly snatched the heavy silver tray right out of my trembling hands, his strength making the metal look weightless. He blindly passed it off to a completely shocked, open-mouthed Darla, who happened to be standing nearby.

The moment my hands were free, Corbin immediately stepped directly into my personal space. The scent of melting chocolate washed over me, dizzying and thick. His large, incredibly warm fingers aggressively intertwined with mine. The physical contact was explosive. An intense, electric shock of pure mate-tingles shot rapidly up my arm, traveling straight to my chest and detonating a heavy, wet throb directly between my thighs. I gasped out loud, my lips parting in shock as my knees completely lost their structural integrity.

Simultaneously, before I could even flinch away from Corbin, Zander stepped squarely behind me. His massive, muscular chest pressed flush against my spine. His large, incredibly warm hands clamped down on my waist with terrifying, possessive firmness. The heat from his palms burned right through the thin sequin fabric of my dress, sending waves of pure fire crashing through my nervous system.

"Got you," Zander breathed, a low, vibrating rumble that shook my entire skeleton.

Completely ignoring the shocked stares, the dropped jaws, and the hushed, frantic whispers of the massive crowd of partygoers, they mobilized. They physically marched me right through the center of the foyer, up the sweeping grand staircase, and straight down the luxurious upstairs hall. Corbin pulled me forcefully but carefully by my hand, his grip unyielding, while Zander maintained his iron-clad grip on my waist, practically lifting me off my feet to keep me moving forward. Kellan flanked us, his massive shoulders blocking any possible route of escape, his eyes daring any pack member to intervene.

They pushed me directly into Corbin's massive, pristine bedroom. The heavy oak door slammed shut behind us, the deadbolt clicking shut and locking ominously. The sound echoed in the sudden, suffocating silence of the room like a gunshot.

We were completely alone.

Blind panic, raw and acidic, overtook me entirely. The moment Zander and Corbin released their physical hold on me, my survival instincts violently kicked in. I scrambled backward, my high heels sinking into the plush carpet, until my spine pressed flat against the far wall. I was absolutely, debilitatingly terrified that this bizarre, surreal illusion would shatter at any second, that they would point at my terrified, trembling form and burst into cruel, mocking laughter just like they had done every single day since we were nine years old.

"Don’t be scared, Amity," Corbin pleaded softly.

He took a slow, tentative step toward me, reaching his massive hand out as if trying to coax a terrified, beaten stray dog. I instinctively flinched, curling my shoulders inward, and violently pulled away from his reach, pressing myself harder against the drywall.

The reaction devastated him. Corbin physically recoiled, his bright blue eyes going incredibly wide with genuine, naked, agonizing hurt. His chest hitched, a wounded, pathetic whimper escaping his throat.

"We’re not gonna hurt you, Baby," Zander purrs, stepping closer.

His voice was a dark, liquid velvet that wrapped around my panicked brain. His gaze turned incredibly dark, the pupils blowing wide, completely eclipsing the blue irises as his eyes raked slowly, deliberately over the tight, black sequined dress Darla had forced me into. I saw his massive hands clench into tight fists at his sides, his knuckles turning white as he physically fought his own wolf’s desperate urge to pin me to the bed and tear the fabric to shreds. The sheer intensity of his stare made the wetness between my thighs gush anew, my clitoris throbbing so hard I had to cross my legs to keep myself upright.

Kellan stood near the locked door. The commanding, terrifying Alpha aura he had projected downstairs completely evaporated. He looked at me with an uncharacteristic, profound despondency. His broad, massive shoulders, usually pulled back with arrogant pride, slumped slightly under the crushing weight of immense guilt.

"We’re so, so, so sorry, Amity," Kellan murmured gently. His voice was thick with raw emotion, cracking slightly on my name.

His words hit me like a freight train, effectively confirming my deepest, most horrifying fear: as identical triplets, they shared one single, fated mate, and it was me.

"The way we’ve treated you is disgusting," Kellan continued, his blue eyes shimmering with unshed tears, his voice laced with pure, agonizing self-loathing. "It was monstrous. We won’t make any excuses for it. We were arrogant, cruel, and stupid. We don’t deserve you. We know we don't. But we want you as our mate. We want you as our Luna. We’re willing to spend the rest of our natural lives doing whatever it takes, groveling at your feet, making everything up to you."

I was entirely stunned. My breath caught in my throat, my mouth hanging slightly open in absolute, paralyzed disbelief.

I had spent my entire childhood crying in my closet, desperately, pathetically wanting just a single apology from them. I had spent years wishing they would just acknowledge the pain they caused me. But this? This raw, desperate, earth-shattering confession of devotion was entirely beyond anything my wildest, most foolish dreams had ever conjured. It didn't feel real. It felt like a trap.

"We’re so sorry, Amity," Corbin begged, his voice breaking into a wet sob. He took a half-step forward, his massive frame trembling violently. He actually dropped to his knees, his expensive black slacks hitting the carpet with a dull thud. He looked up at me, his eyes pleading, completely shattering his own Alpha pride. "Please. Please let us love you!"

Zander tilted his head, the predatory darkness in his eyes softening just a fraction, melting into desperate vulnerability. His voice softened to a raw, emotional rasp that tugged violently at my chest.

"We're really sorry, Baby."

I stood there, pinned against the wall, my mind completely short-circuiting. The sensory overload was catastrophic. The overwhelming smell of coconut, coffee, and chocolate. The heavy, aching arousal throbbing relentlessly between my thighs. The surreal, utterly impossible sight of my lifelong tormentors—three massive, terrifying Alphas—desperately pleading on their knees for my forgiveness.

And then, there was Zander. The cruelest, most volatile triplet of them all, standing there with his heart bleeding on his sleeve, permanently dubbing me his 'Baby' with absolute, terrifying sincerity.

I was completely, fundamentally thrown by the sheer, unadulterated absurdity of the entire situation. My traumatized brain simply could not process the data.

A sudden, entirely involuntary, startled giggle bubbled up from the very bottom of my throat. It forced its way past my vocal cords and escaped my lips—a high-pitched, breathless, nervous sound that echoed loudly in the quiet tension of the bedroom.

It was the absolute wrong move.

The sound of my nervous laughter hung in the heavy air for less than a millisecond before the atmosphere in the room violently snapped. The vulnerable, pleading men vanished. The Alpha wolves took over.

Zander's entire body went rigid. His head snapped up, his jaw locking tight. His eyes, which had just been shimmering with apologies, instantly flashed with pure, unrestrained, terrifying wolfish hunger. His pupils dilated so massively that his eyes looked entirely pitch black. His chest expanded with a massive intake of air, taking in the heavy scent of my surging arousal.

"Oh, you're so cute!" Zander growled.

The primal, dominant sound vibrated so deeply in his chest that the floorboards beneath my feet actually hummed. His fangs fully extended, gleaming dangerously against his bottom lip, just before he lunged forward with terrifying, blinding speed and forcefully grabbed me.
