“Soon,” Lorenzo said softly, not explaining further. I kept hearing the word "never" over and over again in my head, and somehow, it didn't frighten me as much as it should have.

I thought about asking him about the sheets again. Damon must have already contacted Lorenzo but fear held me back. I didn’t want to know their reaction. Lorenzo’s lips brushed lightly against my shoulde
