Chapter 36

The sound of the front door clicking shut is enough to drag me out of bed. Three days. Three fucking days of silence, and now he decides to come home like nothing happened.

“What is this?”

“Divore papers, obviously.” I told Vance one night after he decided to come home. He tried to sneak out when I was sleeping but ever since he just left me like that, I couldn’t sleep.
