I managed to escape from under Gael's watchful eye. He quickly attended to Cyrus, and I slipped away into the cave.

I took care to remain invisible; I didn't want them to know I was there.

I crawled closer on my belly, hiding my scent. I could hear Alpha Orson, smell the sulfur in the air, and feel the vibrations of Evander's heart pounding uncontrollably with anger.
