"I am so glad you waited," Gemma said with the sweetest voice. "I wanted to come and give you a personal thank you."

Gemma tilted her head sideways, observing the quiet Jax. He did not move. He was staring at Gemma with disgust.

Yet she misread the hostility as something else, which made me nauseous.

"Do you like what you see?" she asked. "I have ensured that every aspect of me is flaw
