I went to the outdoor shower because I could not walk back into that house like this.

The stall was enclosed. Solid walls. Only the top open to the sky. Privacy enough for a man who had just lost a volleyball game to a bikini. Sand still on my feet. Shorts kicked off. Cold water on purpose.

It did nothing.

I was hard. The damn thing would not go down.

Every time I closed my eyes I saw her
