Sloane instinctively pulled her foot back again, worried that Vaughn might grab her ankle once more.

Even though he just wanted to check on her injury, she couldn't help but feel embarrassed for no reason.

Seeing her pull away, Vaughn realized she was uncomfortable, so he didn't try to touch her again.

His eyes softened a little as he stood up. "I'll take you to the hospital to get you checked out
