Darius’s POV

After the girls sneaked a few cookies, they returned to the living room where Giselle continued to try to befriend Chloe while totally ignoring Talia.

I sat with the two girls on the couch, me in the middle seat with Talia farthest from Giselle, Chloe closest.

“It’s so nice to be able to spend time with you, Chloe,” Giselle said. “You are already growing up so much. I blink and you’ve
