I tugged at the side zipper of the skirt a bit too hard and it caught halfway.

I tugged but it refused to budge.

Why was the universe hellbent on making me look like an utter fool in front of the impeccably dressed Torin??

“Dotty, you should…”

“I am fine” I yanked at the zipper harder than necessary but it just didn’t move.

Part of me wondered if he had done this to humiliate me.
