“You need to leave Onyxmoon before sunrise.” I woke to those words.

For a moment, I didn't understand them. I had been lying awake for most of the night, listening to the palace breathe around me, so when the door opened without a knock and Callista slipped into my room, I thought I was still caught somewhere between sleep and waking.
