Lucius's voice through the bond. Not out loud. Just there. Direct and clear.

The howling was getting louder.

Standing behind Lucius I could feel it in my chest. Not just sound. The creatures outside the walls weren't just attacking — they were communicating. Building something between them.

I was afraid.

I was not going to show it.

Imogen was on my left. Bronson on my rig
