I am standing before the familiar shrub, staring at the purple flowers for a cold second.

Sure, they weren't as stunted as they had been before, the purple petals a little more stretched and the yellow stamens now visibly sprouting from the center, but still even with all this new growth, they weren't a sight NEARLY alluring enough to be dragged to see TWICE.
