I couldn't stop shaking.

My entire body was trembling like I had been thrown into ice water, these full-body shudders that started deep in my core and spread out outward until even my teeth were chattering, and I was crying now, really crying, these ugly gasping sobs that hurt my chest and made it impossible to breathe properly because of what had just happened.
