Alaric stops it. He takes a step back, creating distance between them. He says something to her, and then they shake hands, she smiles, and gets into the cab. As she is about to leave, she notices me and waves, but I roll my eyes, refusing to acknowledge her. I know I’m being childish, but whatever. It’s one of the perks of being young and dating an older man. I get to act as childish as I want.
