Nolan headed straight to the office that afternoon and only came back when it was time for dinner.

Richard showed up for dinner as well.

As Richard took his seat at the head of the table, he noticed that though everyone was there, the dinner felt much quieter than usual. Nolan, who was normally a chatterbox, barely said a word tonight.
