When Valerie arrived at the hospital, Dominic handled registration, arranged an X-ray, and spoke with the doctor.

"It's dislocated," the doctor said.

As the doctor was about to start treatment, a guy walked in, calling himself a bone-setting master. "Who's Valerie?"

Dominic pointed at Valerie.

"This foot, right?" the old healer asked, crouching down.

Valerie shrank back a little, feeling uneasy.
