Silvan leaned back away from the man to create more space between them. He wasn't afraid that Kaelen would attack him; the other vampire seemed more at war with himself, trying to piece together how things had gotten so damn messed up. Silvan himself wasn't sure. Things had escalated beyond his control. At one point, he had a whole plan set ahead of him, and the next, he found himself catching fee
