Nolan’s smirk widened as if he’d been waiting for this moment all along. He looked like someone who had planned this from the very beginning and was enjoying every moment he spent there.

“Congratulations, Kellan Kincaid,” he said smoothly, clapping once. “Your team made it to the finals. I must say I'm impressed. I thought you would flop with everything going on.”

Kellan didn’t answer.
