“Ugh, get out of my head,” I muttered, banging my head against the couch pillow.

Unfortunately, with every hit, my mind only seemed to conjure up Kaelen, making me even more annoyed by the situation.

Our conversation from earlier kept replaying in my head despite my desperate attempts to stop it.

I wasn’t sure if I had heard him correctly.

No, I couldn’t have heard him correctly.
