“So, why did you come here specifically for my makeup?” Piper asked. “It’s been a while since we’ve seen each other. Are you having a career change now, Brynn?”

She raised a brow inquisitively, amusement in her eyes like she already knew I was hiding something. I sighed and grabbed the makeup pack from her hands before she could question me further.
