I can't explain why I suddenly feel so weird. Could it be because I was nervous about what to say to Valerie and how she would react or could it be a different reason entirely?

I didn't have any words to say, I just wanted to hear her voice, I wanted to be sure she was okay. The guilt I felt made it hard for me to even catch a glimpse of sleep.

Truly, there's no peace for the wicked.
