The pack’s end-of-the-year celebrations usually took place one week before its new year, but this year, it was shifted till the 31st of December, a day before the new year, New Year’s Eve.

The pack’s population had increased to almost twice its middle-of-the-year size, because family members who had travelled to pursue a career, education and many other things finally returned home to
