Improper Thoughts

The study was empty. Sloane pushed open the door but didn't see Rowan inside.

"Rowan?" Sloane called out tentatively as she stepped into the study for the first time. Her eyes swept across the room, but it appeared empty.

Moving deeper into the room, Sloane noticed several cigarettes scattered across the desk.

Sloane thought, 'Rowan smokes?

'Who would've thought someone as refined and gentlemanly
