Wishful Thinking

Seraphine woke up in the morning and found Kaelen missing.

There was breakfast and a sticky note on the dining table.

The note said, “Thank you for your care, Ms. Seraphine. I am busy, so I will be leaving. I’ll leave Cass in Ms. Seraphine’s care.” There was a smiley face at the end of the note.

Seraphine grinned when she was reading the words on the sticky note.
