Pinned Down And Forced Kiss
"Leander, go upstairs and bring down one of my shirts so my mother can examine it," Donovan ordered, his voice cutting through the tense silence of the room.
Leander nodded and immediately hurried up the stairs.
Within a minute, he returned holding a freshly pressed white dress shirt from Donovan's closet. He laid both shirts side by side on the polished glass coffee table. Despite the wrinkles and the small bloodstain on the shirt Valerie had worn, the construction and material were identical. On the right side of both collars, a small, elegant letter 'D' was embroidered in gold thread.
Donovan stared coldly at his mother. "These shirts are custom-made by Valerian tailors. Every single one of my shirts has this exact embroidery on the collar. Now, do you still believe she was with another man?"
Miriam stared at the matching gold letters, her eyes wide with shock. Her face drained of color, and her body swayed as her blood pressure spiked dangerously. She had to grip the edge of the sofa to keep from collapsing.
Leander stepped forward to steady her. "Mrs. Whitmore, let me escort you back to your residence."
Miriam did not say another word. She let Leander guide her toward the front door, her posture slumping in defeat. Roxanne, having no remaining excuse to stay after her scheme failed, quickly followed them out. The heavy front doors clicked shut, and a moment later, the roar of a car engine faded down the driveway.
Valerie stepped out of Donovan's hold, her posture turning cold and distant. "The show is over. The audience has left."
She turned on her heel and ran up the stairs before he could respond, leaving him standing in the middle of the empty living room.
Inside the master bedroom, Valerie began pulling off the oversized shirt to change into her silk nightgown. She wanted to wash away the stress of the day. But before she could pull the straps over her shoulders, the bedroom door swung open.
Before she could react, strong arms wrapped around her bare waist from behind, pulling her back against a hard chest. The heat of his body radiated through her thin clothing.
"What are you doing? I am changing!" Valerie gasped, trying to pull away from his grip.
Donovan looked down, his eyes dark as they swept over her exposed skin, bare waist, and legs. His breathing turned heavy, his chest rising and falling against her back.
"It is not as if I have not seen all of you before," Donovan whispered near her ear, his deep voice sending a shiver down her spine. He was still wearing his tailored suit, his commanding presence filling the room with suffocating tension.
Valerie twisted around, pushing against his chest with both hands. "Do not ever bring up that night again!"
Donovan gripped her chin, forcing her to look up into his narrowed eyes. "If you do not want me to talk about it, then I will make sure you relive it. We can create brand new memories right now."
Valerie opened her mouth to protest, but Donovan lifted her off her feet. He threw her onto the mattress.
She scrambled to get up, but he pinned her down, using his weight to lock her in place. Before she could strike him, he grabbed both of her wrists, shoving them above her head and holding them down against the pillows.
"Are you out of your mind? Let go of me!" Valerie yelled, thrashing beneath him. She kicked her legs, but his heavy body anchored her to the bed.
Donovan looked down at her flushed cheeks and her wide, sparkling eyes. Her natural scent filled his senses, driving his restraint to the breaking point.
"If I let you go, will you actually listen to me?" Donovan asked.
Valerie glared at him, refusing to answer.
Donovan did not wait for a response. He leaned down, pressing his lips firmly against hers to silence her protests, asserting his physical dominance over her body.
