After Valerie told Bridget that she didn't want to hear any more news about Declan, Bridget never mentioned him again. She didn't even mention his name. Instead, Bridget told Valerie that her proposal had passed the evaluation of Zenith Group and that she was now working on the contract.

Although anything could happen before the contract was finalized, Valerie was sincerely happy for Bridget.
