Watching Vera close the distance to Draven and press her body against his like a snake wrapping around its next meal made my stomach turn with pure disgust. How he failed to see through her act was completely beyond me. None of it made a shred of sense. Did he trust her so blindly that her obvious lies just flew right over his head, or did he see the truth and simply choose to look the other way?
