Nikolai dragged Ksenia from the vehicle. She fought him with everything she had, thrashing against his grip in the freezing night air. The rough nylon ropes chafed against her delicate skin. He had tied her wrists together, and after realizing how hard she fought back, he bound her ankles as well.
