Beyond Forgiveness

I was left alone in the​ ward after my injury got dressed. I lay on the bed, shedding tears into my pillow. I felt dizzy as a result of the painkillers that had been pumped into me, and I had to wait for it to fade off before taking any action.

I kept glancing outside my ward, hoping that somebody would show up, hoping that a certain person would be nearby, watching over me, but no one was.
