Valerie did not have much time, so they had to keep things short.

Once Zane arrived, she blurted out, “I saw Fiona being sneaky by the road over there just now. I can't just leave, so you should find out what she's up to.”

Zane raised a brow at her. “I'm not good with things like these too. I'll get Badger for you.”

“Sure.” Valerie nodded.
