“Tell me you’re joking, Penny.”

“Do I ever joke about sports transfers?” Penny responded dryly to my stunned reply to the news she’d just dropped on my lap. “I work at Apex Sports Management, Viv. You think I don’t get trade news before it hits the press? I’m the reason some of it hits the press. I found out last night but was too tired to blow up your phone.”

Right. She had a point
