Coralie stopped and turned around. Dane had walked in front of her at some point. She subconsciously took a step back.

To prevent her from falling backward, Dane suddenly put his hand around her waist and steadied her.

"The initial reaction of being guilty is just that way," Dane said.

Coralie looked sideways at Dane's hand on her waist. She frowned and broke away from his arms immediately. "It's
