Things were going a lot smoother than I could have ever expected. The peace I experienced was real and scary, because I was filled with apprehension that it would be seized without warning when I least expected it. Dmitri had gone under the radar. That didn’t stop me from always watching my back, though. He was probably bidding his time so he could strike when we were carried away. Enzo put
