In an instant, his arms felt empty. The warmth he had just embraced was gone, leaving behind only a chilling void.

“You're moving out?” he echoed, stunned.

“What, did you really think I'd stay here after everything that's happened?” she asked, her tone laced with disbelief. “Besides, it's just a few days early. We'll be divorced soon enough.”
