Caught in the Act

The following day, Adler Co. announced that it would be temporarily halting operations. This made the shareholders panic—halting operations generally meant that something was seriously wrong with the company's cash flow! It was highly likely there would be a breach of several contracts if the problem wasn't immediately dealt with.
