I made my way to the pack archives, making sure not to walk too fast in case anyone heard my feet shuffling on the floor. I was still very new to Kaelen’s powers so I had to be conscious all the time to be sure they were still working. As I passed by slowly, I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful and peaceful the pack looked, as if I had never left.

Something about that unsettled me.
