The lamp connected with his arm and he hissed loudly, clutching it.

His eyes widened in anger, his teeth gritting in pain.

The hit wasn't that lethal but it had momentarily stunned him.

Using this as an opportunity, I dropped the lamp and sprinted around him, heading for the door.

I had to escape from here, I just had to.
