I stood there like an idiot, staring at his back as he walked away.

Just like that. Like he could ignite the entire air between us, nearly set me on fire with one look, then turn his back and leave.

“Are you kidding me?” I muttered, fists clenching at my sides.

He’s brooding, my wolf said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. It’s his whole thing. Smolder, burn, walk away dramatically. If he had
