The Darker Half

“WHAT DO YOU THINK HAPPENED?” Martha asked, staring at her daughter sitting near the glass table. It had been an hour since she visited the café, and yet Cami seemed to be in a daze as if her mind were elsewhere.

“Should we approach her again?” Arthur wondered. They were in the kitchen, peering outside. They had a brief conversation with Cami earlier, but she insisted that she was fine. As much as
