Donovan froze, his eyes wide in disbelief. He slowly turned his head, noticing Tristan standing beside him.

Tristan moved toward my door, walking slowly. Through the small crack in the door, I could clearly see his face as he slipped a small package inside. "I'm exhausted after surgery," he said. "I don't feel like opening the door for you tonight."
