The Forgotten Night

Her ankle was suddenly gripped tight, startling Clara. She jumped, her entire body trembling.

Seeing Dante emerge from under the hospital bed, Clara's jaw dropped in astonishment. "Dante, how... Why..." She stammered.

"Shh, be quiet," Dante whispered, covering Clara's mouth to stop her from making a sound. He then wrapped an arm around her waist and carried her behind the curtain.
