"Joanne, why is he here? Kick him out." Beatrice instinctively pulled the blanket over herself, protecting herself and seeing Richard as an intruder.

With someone backing her up, Joanne immediately grew bolder, raising her voice and shouting at Richard, "Did you hear that? You're not welcome here. Get out now."

Richard shoved her aside, not sparing a glance at Joanne, his gaze locked on Beatrice.
