Cold Salvation

"Let me go!" I shouted, trying to wrench my wrist free from Drusilla's grip as she hauled me through the endless corridors of the castle.

The world blurred around me. Everything was streaks of color as she moved faster than my eyes could follow. My feet barely touched the floor before I stumbled over them again, struggling to keep up with someone who clearly had no intention of slowing down.
