A Welcome Distraction

Declan was calling.

And I stared at my screen contemplating.

Technically, picking up wasn’t a terrible idea. He had sent me several messages after everything that happened, and unlike Kira, he had at least been trying to reach me. More importantly, earlier he had asked me to talk to him, and I’d promised that I would.

The problem was that things were already complicated enough.
