I could barely get any sleep throughout the night. I returned to the room with my bag, showered, and just laid beside Ellis. I slept for only about an hour and when I woke up again, I remained awake till it was morning and was still buried in my thoughts, not until Ellis woke up.

“Mama.” He called, wrapping his arms around me. And I smiled as I ruffled his hair. Hearing his voice made me fee
