Once Valerie got back to the room, she noticed Zara staring at her. Smiling, she asked, "Why are you looking at me like that?"

Zara didn't hold back. "I never thought I'd be getting the scoop about you and Declan." She'd had her suspicions about Declan, and it turned out he'd dated Valerie before.

Valerie shrugged. "Just a mistake I made when I was young."
