Lyra arrived, looking exhausted, a crystal glinting in her hand. She gently placed it around Valeria’s neck, her gaze shadowed with worry. Valeria had been under for six hours now, and we’d taken turns keeping her body warm, hoping it would help her pull through. My only fear was how she’d react when she woke up to find herself here.
