I didn’t want to give in to my father’s scare tactics. I want to stand my ground and fight. We beat him once, and I know we could do it again, so I just ignored the call. I’m not even sure if it was him, right?

My phone stopped ringing, the LCD light dimmed low, and my room was blanketed in darkness again. The only illumination I had was the low light from the hallway and outside my window.
